Living a hectic and stressful life, the amount of sleep, UV exposure, diet and stimulants, daily skincare and professional treatments are all crucial to the health and condition of your skin.

Each of these elements affects its balance and appearance, so it is worth taking comprehensive care of them. Your skin deserves complete care - from internal harmony to external care.

1. Stress reduction

The skin is an organ that faces external and internal factors on a daily basis. However, in my opinion and 20 years of experience, the biggest ‘danger’ is stress. Why do I think this? By maintaining a balance in the other factors that accelerate the ageing process, we are able to influence the reduction of the consequences that stress has on us.

Moim sprawdzonym sposobem na stres jest taniec i śmiech.

MY ADVICE: If you are having a particularly ‘stressful’ time, a stressful job or just feel you have less energy, focus your attention on minimising the other factors. My tried and tested way of dealing with stress is to dance and laugh.

2. Adequate amount of sleep

Sleep is the time when the whole body regenerates, including its largest organ. This is a very important point in caring for the skin. Even if you have no reason to be stressed, do not provide adequate care, therapy (treatments), use stimulants, etc., the right length of sleep is able to negate their negative effects.

MY ADVICE: Remember, sleep is regeneration. In the evening 2 hours before you go to sleep, switch off the computer, the TV, put down the phone, put on some quiet music, light a candle and... relax.

3. UV protection

We have known for a long time that UV radiation adversely affects the skin. Fortunately, we have several ways of dealing with it. On the other hand... we live in a time when electronics have become our everyday life and are even part of the job. This means that it accompanies us for most of the day. And this is where the question arises. Is skin protection against UV (summer period, tanning beds) sufficient? Unfortunately, no. Fortunately, I have access to formulations that provide full and year-round protection from radiation in all areas.

MY ADVICE: Protection is very important. If your skin doesn't have enough resources on its own, you need to support it.

4. Balanced diet

As everyone knows, diet affects our entire body. However, please remember that for the body, skin and hair are last on the ‘list of needs’. What do I mean? Even if you follow a ‘healthy diet’, the effects on your skin and hair will be noticeable after a few months of regularity. Why? Because the vital organs are the most important for the body. If you have symptoms, dysfunctions, a change in the appearance of your skin, this is a symptom of a deficiency or disease of an important organ for the body.

MY ADVICE: If you want to effectively improve the condition of your skin, ensure a well-balanced diet while acting directly on the skin.

5. Używki

This is a river subject and we certainly know a lot about their adverse effects, so I will not focus too much on this issue, because it is obvious. they are mediated by free radicals, which are responsible for the ageing process. I once encountered a statement that not every stimulant has the same destructive effect. The quantity is not irrelevant either. Red wine is said to contain resveratrol, which is more potent in its antioxidant effects than pure vitamin C and also improves blood circulation, which can speed up the transport of nutrients into the cells.

MY ADVICE: In my opinion, however, the most important thing is moderation.

6. Daily care

Home care is one of the fundamental elements in restoring skin function.

Daily care products account for 60% of success in my opinion, 40% is therapy/treatments.

Appropriate skincare has many benefits. From the perspective of the cosmetologist/procedurist, first and foremost, it is invaluable in preparing the skin for any treatment. In addition, its importance is paramount in terms of consistency with the treatments performed and maintaining their effects. This is a very important aspect for the effects of the treatments I perform to last as long as possible.

MY ADVICE: How you act with your skin on a daily basis is the KEY. Treatments, in my opinion, are just a supplement, an element that supports the balance of your skin.

7. Cosmetological treatments and aesthetic medicine

Professional therapies or aesthetic treatments have now become very popular and we are keen to use them. However, is their use always appropriate? Often, we decide to carry out a procedure for a number of reasons. Among the most common ones that determine this are:

  • new to the market
  • colleague satisfied with the result
  • low price
  • popularity/large number of friends using the treatment in question
  • I've tried everything, this is my last chance.

Why, in most cases, is the end result a disappointment? Because each of the above points does not meet the expectations, needs and possibilities of your skin. Very often, a ‘new technology’ needs effective marketing in order to establish itself in the aesthetic market... so that new solutions are created for the benefit of the skin. However, there is no ‘golden mean’, i.e. one treatment that will solve all your skin's problems. What I follow in my daily work with the skin is a HOLISTIC APPROACH conditioned by the personalised needs of the skin, your skin.

MY ADVICE: Please remember! Your skin, just like you, is an individual. It needs a personalised treatment plan.

In every interview at the first consultation I ask about the medicines you are prescribed. This is an important issue for me because your health is paramount. Adapting and matching your skin therapy to your body's capabilities is important because A healthy body means healthy skin. Never the other way around.
